The purpose of this research is to find macro and micro determinants of poverty. This paper analysed the macro economic policies and their influence on the poverty and inequality level in Pakistan. This paper also analyse micro level projects undertaken in Pakistan to reduce poverty level. Why the micro level efforts were not successful in Pakistan is also looked into the report. The report also take both internal and external factors into consideration which are supposed to be the most important determinants of the failure of the performance of international lending agencies like UNDP. This report assists the Government of Pakistan to sort the links between the devolution plan and poverty reduction. |
